Braves send Twins to sixth straight loss

the Braves went on to a 5-1 win over the Twins last night in Georgia.
Freddie Freeman and Andrelton Simmons also drove in a run for Atlanta, which

Twins send rookie southpaw back to Triple-A


(Minneapolis, MN) -- 5-21-13-- The Twins optioned pitcher Pedro Hernandez to
Triple-A Rochester on Monday and recalled pitcher Caleb Thielbar from
Rochester. Hernandez went 2-and-1 with a 5.85 ERA in eight games including
six starts with the Twins. Thielbar had a 3.76 ERA in 17 outings with

Gopher hoops get transfer from coach's former school


(Minneapolis, MN) -- 5-21-13-- Guard Malik Smith is following his head coach from
Florida International to Minnesota. Smith signed his tender to transfer and
play with the Golden Gophers on Monday. The junior averaged 14.1 points per
game last season. Smith will be eligible to play right away pending an NCAA
