Anti-global warming group meets in Willmar today
The Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL)will be holding an initial public meeting on Saturday, October 19, at 12:30 p.m. at the Willmar Public Library. The library is located at 410 5th Street SW.
The Citizens Climate Lobby is a non-profit, non-partisan nationwide network of citizens who are dissatisfied at the rate of government action on climate change and who want to learn how to be more effective in protecting the environment. Calling rising temperatures "extremely likely" to be primarily caused by human activity, the report this month from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 5th Assessment) lays out goals which it says must be achieved in order to avoid catastrophic climate change.
Anti global warmer Zelda Johnson urges Willmar area people to attend on October 19 and find out about the CCL. There is no obligation and the network is free to all. The CCL website offers more information at email@example.com (KWLM)
