Daycare workers rally in support of union bill

Home day care workers rallied at the State Capitol
Thursday afternoon, supporting bills that would allow them to form a union.
Karen Urman (ERR'-man) from Mounds View says many home day care workers get
very low wages, have no benefits and work long hours. Urman says they have
no voice and want to change that. Opponents warn a union will drive up day
care costs for families that can't afford it. When last year's
Republican-controlled legislature refused to authorize a union election,
Governor Dayton tried to order it but a judge blocked him. The proposal has
a much better chance this session because Democrats now control the
legislature. (MNN)
