DNR promotes Losinski

The Parks and Trails Division of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has selected Jeremy Losinski, who has until recently been the manager of Lac qui Parle State Park in Montevideo, to oversee outdoor recreation in eight west-central counties.  In his new job, Losinski will supervise and administer outdoor recreation programs in Big Stone, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, Meeker, Renville, Swift and Yellow Medicine counties. He is responsible for public water accesses, state trails, state recreation areas, state water trails, fishing piers, shore fishing areas and grants related to local units of government. Jeremy has demonstrated a well-rounded recreation background managing state parks and recreation programs in Minnesota and North Dakota, said Gregg Soupir, district supervisor for the DNR s Parks and Trails Division. Those experiences will serve him well in his new position.  In addition to managing Lac qui Parle State Park, Losinski has served as interim manager of Big Stone Lake State Park in Ortonville and directed water access maintenance activities in the Lac qui Parle/Marsh Lake area. Prior to joining the DNR, he was a park ranger and certified peace officer and assisted in managing Turtle River State Park in North Dakota.  (KWLM)
