(Chicago, IL) -- The University of Minnesota men's basketball team was knocked out of the Big Ten Tournament by Illinois 51-49 today (Thurs) on a last-second shot. The game was tied at 49 with nine seconds remaining when the Gophers turned the ball over to the Fighting Illini. Minnesota finishes the regular season with a 20-12 overall record and 8-11 in Big Ten play.
