Veterans Lobby Day At State Capitol
(St. Paul, MN) -- Governor Dayton speaks to veterans' organizations in the State Capitol Rotunda this morning (930am) to kick off their "Day on the Hill." Lee Ulferts, chair of The Minnesota Commanders' Task Force, says anyone concerned about veterans' issues should contact their representatives and make their concerns known, loud and clear. He says while lip service is paid to vets, not nearly enough is being done for them. Ulferts says one of the most important issues this year is a bonding bill that allocates 53-million dollars for the Minneapolis Veterans Home.
