(St. Paul, MN)  --  A proposed minimum wage increase in Minnesota continues moving forward at the state legislature, with a bill clearing another committee this afternoon in the DFL-controlled House.  Nicole Hilgendorf, a server in Minneapolis, told lawmakers "tipped employees are not at all wealthy, nor are they greedy in asking for a fair compensation."  But Benjamin Gerber with the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce warns increasing the minimum wage will adversely affect some younger workers trying to get into the work force.  The bill would increase the minimum wage in steps so that by 2015 it would be 10-55 an hour at large employers and nine dollars at small employers.  After that, increases would be indexed to inflation.
