(St. Paul, MN) -- Legislation has been introduced at the state capitol that would increase state funding of food shelves. Senator Melisa Franzen authored the bill, noting that food shelves have been dealing for years with a double whammy--more people using them, and fewer people able to donate. Last year was another record year, there were over three million visits to the state's food shelves.
