Dementia Conference Today In St. Paul
(St. Paul, MN) -- Hundreds are in St. Paul today for the "Meeting of the Minds Dementia Conference". Doctor Ron Petersen, director of the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer's Research Center, says studies show complex changes in the brain begin a decade or two before symptoms ever appear. Petersen says this allows doctors to diagnose Alzheimer's and intervene, earlier than ever before. One in eight older Americans have Alzheimer's disease.
