Cameras Allowed In Courtroom In Upcoming Schaffhausen Trial
(River Falls, WI) -- A Saint Croix County judge has ruled that cameras will be allowed in the courtroom for the trial of Aaron Schaffhausen, accused of killing his three daughters last July in River Falls, Wisconsin. Schaffhausen is in court today as prosecutors prepare for trial in April. He's charged with homicide in the deaths of 11-year-old Amara, eight-year-old Sophie and five-year-old Cecilia during a visit to their home. Schaffhausen and the girls' mother were divorced and Schaffhausen had been living in North Dakota. Last month, the judge ordered him to undergo psychiatric examinations, including with the prosecution's mental health experts. Schaffhausen has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
