Gay Marriage Bill Debate

(St.Paul, MN)  --  Opponents promise a hard fight against a bill that would legalize same-sex marriage in Minnesota.  Maple Grove Senator Warren Limmer says 75 of the state's 87 counties voted for the marriage amendment and a lot of freshman Democrats come from those areas.  Limmer advises his colleagues not to go against the will of their constituents.  But bill sponsor, Minneapolis Democrat Scott Dibble says they hope "the hearts of legislators will be touched by their constituents" who will "tell their own stories about what lies at the foundation of their families and the love that they strive to achieve."  Republican Limmer predicts the end result "will depend entirely on D-F-L votes in rural Minnesota."
