regular season with back-to-back wins but came up a bounce of the ball short as they
were defeated in overtime by the St. Cloud Tech Tigers 64-62. The Cardinals led by as
many as 11 points early in the second half after leading 30-24 at halftime. The Cards
were led by junior swingman Kyler Johnson who finished with 17 points, senior center
Austin Rambow had 15 and senior guard Cody Magnuson 14. The Cards had a shot to
win at the end of regulation and at the end of the OT to win the game but those shots
bounced off the rim. Willmar finished the regular season with 12 wins and 13 losses
overall and 7 and 9 in the Central Lakes Conference. Section 2AAA play begins next Tuesday,
that section will be seeded Wednesday this week and it looks like the Cardinals will either
win at the end of regulation and at the end of the OT to win the game but those shots
bounced off the rim. Willmar finished the regular season with 12 wins and 13 losses
