Obama Talks With Mental Health Advocates On Minnesota Stop

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  Mental health advocates had the ear of President Obama during his stop in north Minneapolis today (Mon).  Sue Abderholden with the National Alliance on Mental Illness says she talked briefly with the president about the need for mental health services available through schools.  Abderholden says if not only school counselors and social workers but also clinical services are provided, early intervention will produce better outcomes for those struggling with mental illness.  The president said in his Minneapolis remarks that Congress should make it easier for young people to get access to mental health treatment.
