Mental Health Bills Introduced At Legislature

(St. Paul, MN)  --  Nearly a dozen bills sponsored by over 30 different lawmakers have been introduced at the Minnesota Capitol to address mental health issues.  It comes the same day President Obama was in Minneapolis pushing his anti-gun-violence agenda and talking to mental health advocates.  Bills now in the mix at the State Capitol would increase funding for children's mental health crisis services and for programs available through schools...allow parents on welfare to access child care while undergoing mental health treatment...have mental health services follow a child home after they leave the hospital, a residential facility or a juvenile-justice facility....and funding to educate middle school and high school students about mental illnesses.
