Environmental Group Likes Obama Stance On Global Warming

(Washington, DC)  --  The group Environment Minnesota is pleased with President Obama's pledge about global warming in his inaugural address.  The president said "we will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations."  Environment Minnesota's Michelle Hesterberg says the state has already started to see the impacts of climate change with extreme weather events like the Duluth floods this summer, and extreme drought throughout the state and across the Midwest.  Some argue extreme storm events fall within normal variations in weather patterns and are not caused by global warming.
