Kids' Mental Health Is Focus Of State Capitol Hearing
(St. Paul, MN) -- Children's mental health is the issue as House lawmakers get an overview from the experts this afternoon (4-530pm) at the State Capitol. Minnesota spokeswoman Sue Abderholden with the National Alliance on Mental Illness says advocates are putting together a package of seven or eight bills to improve access to mental health care...make sure it's family-friendly...and ensure there are enough workers to provide it. Abderholden says they're hoping to officially unveil the bills the first week of February.
