(St.Paul, MN) -- Senate DFLers introduced a bill today (Thurs) that would provide state money for districts that volunteer to offer all-day kindergarten. Senator Greg Clausen of Apple Valley says he believes education is an investment in the future of our state and ultimately will determine the quality of life for our citizens. He calls all-day kindergarten a major step toward enhancing Minnesota's commitment to quality education for all students. Clausen says research shows all-day kindergarten enhances literacy and math skills.
