(Moorhead, MN) -- There's a beefed-up police presence at Moorhead High School after rumors of a school shooting spread on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Lieutenant Tory Jacobson says officers determined the rumored threat was just that, a rumor, with no credibility. He says in situations like this, school resource officers prove to be important and students have the ability to text them anonymously. Even though police are confident the threat has no credibility, they did step up their presence to assure students and parents they are doing what they can to keep schools safe.
