New Prague Coach Dies While Shoveling Snow

(New Prague, MN)  --  Students and staff at New Prague Area Schools are mourning the death of a popular teacher and coach.  Fifty-four-year-old Matt Shetka died Sunday of an apparent heart attack while shoveling snow at his home.  The district says Shetka taught in New Prague for 33 years, most recently as a middle school social studies instructor.  Shetka's girl's gymnastics teams won three state championships and his golf teams claimed two state titles.  He also coached middle school girl's volleyball.  Grief counselors were available to students in the New Prague district today.
