Man Accused Of Murdering Two Teen Burglars Had Surveillance System



(St. Cloud, MN)  --  The St. Cloud Times reports the man accused of fatally shooting two teenagers who broke into his rural Little Falls home on Thanksgiving Day had a surveillance system.  Following several search warrants, officers recovered 64-year old Byron Smith's surveillance system which recorded video of the teens as they broke into his home.  A digital audio recorder was also running at the time Smith shot the teens.  Several computer memory cards and various computer equipment were also confiscated from Smith's home, plus firearms and large amounts of ammunition.  Smith remains in the Morrison County jail on two counts of second-degree murder.
