(Minneapolis, MN) -- Groundbreaking for a new Vikings stadium in downtown Minneapolis is tentatively set for October of next year. Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority Chair Michele Kelm-Helgen announced the date at today's (Fri) board meeting, saying both the team and the Sports Facilities Authority are good with the time frame. Officials are now soliciting bids for a construction management firm, which would establish a budget and set a construction timeline.
