Child Porn Charges Against Mankato State Coach Dropped

(Mankato, MN)  --  A Blue Earth County judge today dismissed child pornography charges against Minnesota State University Mankato's football coach.  Todd Hoffner took two cellphone videos last June of his children dancing naked and touching themselves -- but the judge said the behavior was "playful and not calculated to lead to sexual excitation."  County Attorney Ross Arneson says the judge's decision surprises him, and the prosecutor handling the case thought he was trying to enforce a statute enacted to protect children.  Meanwhile Hoffner's friend, John Harrington, says the coach and his wife have "suffered tremendously through this" and now have to be extremely happy.
