Vaccinations Urged This Flu Season
(St. Paul, MN) -- Minnesotans are urged to "Ban the Bug" this flu season. Officials say with more options for vaccinations, it's now easier for people to protect themselves. Denise Dunn with the state Health Department says the traditional doctors' offices are an option, as are local health agencies and retail pharmacies. Dunn says besides the traditional flu shot, other options include nasal spray for healthy people between the ages of two and 49. And there's a new product which incorporates a very small needle that injects the vaccine into the skin layers only.
