(Paradise Island, Bahamas) -- Andre Hollins scored 41 points to lead Minnesota to an 84-75 victory over 17th-ranked Memphis in the consolation round of the Battle4Atlantis basketball tournament this afternoon. Gopher head coach Tubby Smith says Andre Hollins had one of the all-time great games for any Minnesota player. Hollins' 41 points was the highest total by a Gophers player since Ollie Shannon tied the school scoring record with 42 against Wisconsin in 1971. The Gophers will play the winner of the Stanford-Northern Iowa consolation game at 2:30 pm today.
