Belle Plaine Officer Charged With DWI

(Belle Plaine, MN) --  A Belle Plaine police officer is on leave after being arrested and charged for D-W-I early Tuesday morning.  Thirty-two-year-old Bryan Pasek was off duty when he was allegedly traveling at 96 miles an hour in a 65 mile zone before being stopped.  Authorities say his blood alcohol level was point-one-seven, more than twice the legal limit.  This is not Pasek's first D-W-I.  In the fall of 2003, he was arrested in Scott County and charged for gross misdemeanor D-W-I, which was later dropped to a misdemeanor.  The Scott County Attorney's office has forwarded the case to Carver County, to avoid any possible conflict of interest.
