(St. Paul, MN) -- The D-N-R reports a total of 147 wolves killed in the state's first early season hunt. The state had set 200 as the quota but even the lesser amount was higher than some experts predicted. Minnesota's second season of wolf hunting begins this Saturday and is scheduled to run through the end of January.
