House Vikings Stadium Author Says Personal Seat Licenses Were Discussed

(Moorhead, MN)  --  The House author of the Vikings stadium bill says the team's talk about personal seat licenses for season ticket holders should come as no surprise.  Moorhead Representative Morrie Lanning says Governor Dayton "can say whatever he wants," but the possibility "was a part of the discussion all the way along" and the bill that the legislature passed left that as an option.  Governor Dayton wrote Vikings owner Zygi Wilf that the new facility should be "a People's Stadium, not a Rich People's Stadium" and said he'll urge the stadium authority to block any move for personal seat licenses.  The Vikings responded the bill negotiated with the governor's own representatives and with legislative leaders "includes provisions that expressly authorize the sale of stadium builder's licenses."
