(St.Paul, MN) -- Governor Dayton is speaking out against a proposal by the Vikings to charge fans additional fees for season tickets to the new stadium. The team floated the idea of requiring fans to buy personal seat licenses to help pay their share of the cost for the 975-million-dollar stadium. Dayton sent a letter today (Tues) to Vikings owner Zygi Wilf saying he strongly opposes shifting any part of the team's responsibility for those costs onto Minnesota Vikings fans. He added, quote "I said this new stadium would be a People's Stadium, not a Rich People's Stadium. The governor will urge the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority to block any such move.
