Now That Democrats Contro the State House and Senate...
(St. Paul, MN) -- With Democrats taking control of both the Minnesota House and Senate, Governor Dayton will likely push his agenda of raising taxes on wealthy Minnesotans and increasing funding for K-12 and other projects. Hamline University political science Professor David Schultz says the question is, how successful will Democrats be in moving that agenda, while at the same time not overplaying their hand in the way that perhaps Republicans overplayed their apparent mandate two years ago. Schultz says the perception that Republicans were more to blame for the government shutdown may be part of the reason GOP incumbents were voted out.
