(Owatonna, MN) --  Caterpillar Inc. announced today it will close its plant in Owatonna next spring and about 100 people will lose their jobs.  Company officials say they plan to consolidate operations within its forestry business.  Production will end at the Owatonna plant by March 1st of next year.  Caterpillar is offering employees a severance package and says it will work with appropriate agencies on finding those workers new opportunities.
