(Minneapolis, MN) -- Phillip Nelson threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns as Minnesota got past Purdue, 44-28, at TCF Bank Stadium yesterday. Donnell Kirkwood ran for 134 yards for the Golden Gophers, who picked up their first conference win and now sit at 1-and-3. Minnesota is 5-and-3 overall and hosts Michigan next week.
