(St. Paul, MN) -- A group backing the voter photo I-D constitutional amendment is filing a complaint against an opposing group, over a T-V ad that claims servicemembers will not be able to use their military I-D to vote if the amendment passes. Dan McGrath with Protect-my-vote-dot-com calls the ad "a lie, designed to mislead voters." McGrath says the amendment does not invalidate current law which accepts military I-Ds because they're government-issued. But Eric Fought with "Our Vote Our Future," the group that released the ad, responds the Minnesota Legislature -- unlike other states -- did not exempt military servicemembers from requirements of the voter photo-ID amendment.
