(Blue Earth, MN)  --  There's a pretrial hearing today (Mon) for a Blue Earth Area School bus driver accused of slapping a six-year-old boy last month.  Seventy-two-year-old Jane Brooks of Elmore is charged with fifth-degree misdemeanor assault.  Brooks recently resigned from her 15-year position with the district and hired a lawyer.  The criminal complaint says Brooks had to stop the bus twice because of the boy's disruptive behavior and slapped him in the face after he was told to stop spitting on other students.
