-- It just keeps getting drier and drier across Minnesota. Drought throughout the state has worsened in recent days and the prolonged dry spell which started this summer could cause real problems next spring. Eighty-six-percent of Minnesota's topsoil moisture is now considered below normal for this time of year. Extreme drought has expanded across northwestern and southern Minnesota while severe drought now covers most of the state's mid-section. The U-S Drought Monitor shows 100-percent of Minnesota is now in at least a moderate drought.
