Most Of Crop In, Looking Good

--  Most of the crop is in and the reviews are good -- very good in fact in southeastern Minnesota.  U-of-M Extension Educator Lisa Behnken (BEEN'-ken) says, as was the case over much of the state, some corn and soybean yields are better than others but she adds insect and disease pressure were non-existent, meaning "some excellent yields on some of our very good soils."  But the harvest suffered more to the west of Mankato where drought and extreme rains weakened the major crops.
