(Big Lake, MN) -- Authorities in Sherburne County are investigating a car-pedestrian crash that claimed the life of Big Lake man. The sheriff's office says 18-year-old Efren Martinez was struck by a vehicle shortly before midnight while crossing County Road 81 just north of Highway 10. Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say there is no suspicion of drug or alcohol use by the driver.
