North Dakota Deputy Robs Minnesota Convenience Store
(Crookston, MN) -- A North Dakota sheriff's deputy has been charged in a break-in at the Holiday gas station in Crookston, Minnesota. When police arrived, they found a glass door smashed in by a block ash-tray. Inside officers discovered 22-year-old Adam Koenig of Park River, North Dakota laying on the floor behind the till area. He had a bloody face, cut eye and swollen lip. Officers noticed Koenig was wearing a badge on his belt and the suspect identified himself as a Walsh County, North Dakota Sheriff's deputy. He was not carrying a firearm. Koenig was charged with burglary and criminal damage to property, and is currently being held in the Polk County jail.
