(Washington, DC)  --  The U-S unemployment rate is under eight percent for the first time in nearly four years.  The jobless rate dropped from eight-point-one percent in August to seven-point-eight percent in September.  Minnesota's unemployment rate remains well below the national figures at five-point-nine percent for August.  Our state's September employment numbers will be released in a couple weeks.
