Bloomington Man Sentenced For Throwing Vise Through Veteran's Windshield

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  The Bloomington man who injured an Iraq war veteran by throwing a metal vise through his car windshield has been sentenced to more than six years in prison.  Forty-year-old Gerret Parks apologized in court today (Tues) and told the judge he was in a deep depression and drinking heavily at the time.  National Guard Sergeant First Class Jonathan Stacke suffered serious injuries to his face, jaw and teeth.  Investigators linked Parks to at least five incidents of throwing objects at cars and trucks in the Bloomington area between last December and February of this year.  Parks pleaded guilty to first-degree assault last week.
