Senser Appears in Court For Appeal Hearing

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  The wife of former Minnesota Viking Joe Senser is back in court today in Hennepin County.  Amy Senser is serving a three-year, five-month sentence at a womens's prison in Shakopee after a jury convicted her in the hit-and-run death of Anousone Phanthavong.  Senser's attorney argues that his client should be free while they are appealing her conviction.  The Minnesota Court of Appeals has ordered Hennepin County District Judge Daniel Mabley to explain why he wants Senser in prison during the appeal process.  Senser's attorney says his client is not a flight risk and is not likely to commit a serious crime or intimidate witnesses if she gets out of prison during the appeal.
