August Housing Report

(Edina, MN)  --  The August housing report suggests sellers in the state are getting more for their homes and the overall inventory is on the decline.  Chris Galler (GAL-ur) with the Minnesota Association of Realtors says the state's housing market continues to rebound. He says we're seeing more transactions, increases in the media price and more buyer activity spurred by low interest rates.  The statewide median sales price last month was 156-thousand dollars - an 11-and-a-half percent increase from last August.  Closed sales were up six percent and pending sales rose one-and-a-half percent.
