Fed Could Lower Interest Rates

(Duluth, MN)  --  Experts say the Federal Reserve may announce a third round of what's called "quantitative easing" tomorrow  in an effort to lower interest rates and stimulate the economy.  St. Scholastica  Economics Professor Tony Barret says if it happens, voters can bet it will be spun differently by the Romney and Obama campaigns.  Barret predicts the Romney camp will say it's proof that the economy is not healthy and four years of the Obama administration hasn't worked.  But Barret says if he was a Democrat, his spin would be this probably won't have much impact and isn't really necessary, because the economy is getting better on its own.
