(Battle River Twp, MN) -- The threat of wildfires remains high across much of the state as Minnesota has another hot and dry day. Officials say there's curently only one fire of significance, the Shotley fire east of Red Lake. Jean Goad at the Interagency Fire Center says it's 300 to 400 acres, and about one third is peat. Goad says the fire is *not* contained and they're continuing to work it after throwing a lot of air resources at it yesterday . Goad says they're not aware of any threat to people or buildings at this time.
