9-5-12 (Eden Prairie, MN) -- The value of the Minnesota Vikings is up 22 percent, according to Forbes magazine. Passage of the stadium bill is apparently the main reason the team's value jumped from 796-million dollars in 2011 to 975-million this year. Forbes says "the team, currently near the bottom of the NFL in stadium revenue, could generate an additional 40-million a year from the new stadium." The Vikings are ranked 22nd among the league's 32 teams. Their new 65-thousand seat stadium in downtown Minneapolis is scheduled to open in 2016.
