(Duluth, MN)  --  A nine-year-old boy is dead after the sailboat he was riding in was struck by lightning on Lake Superior Saturday night.  The boy was in the boat with seven others at around 5:30 p.m. when a thunderstorm rapidly approached dropping hail on the boat.  Before its occupants could get off, the boat was struck by lightning.  One of the victims called 9-1-1 and various rescue agencies responded.  Four of the victims were taken to nearby hospitals with severe, but non-life threatening injuries.
