8-17-12 (St. Paul, MN)  --  State health officials say at least three cases in Minnesota are part of a multi-state salmonella outbreak associated with cantaloupe that's likely from southwestern Indiana.  None of the Minnesotans who became ill were hospitalized and all have recovered.  Two were over age 70 and one was a child.  The Minnesota Deparment of Agriculture is working with other states and the F-D-A to identify where the cantaloupes were distributed in Minnesota.  Officials say until that distribution list is available, Minnesotans should not eat cantaloupe from southwestern Indiana but they can continue to purchase and eat cantaloupes from other areas.
