7-13-12 (Houston, TX)  --  Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson made his initial court appearance today (Fri) in Harris County, Texas.  The 27-year-old was arrested at a Houston nightclub last weekend and charged with resisting arrest.  Peterson did not enter a plea in court today.  The case was re-set for next month and his next court date is August 6th.  Peterson is accused of pushing an off-duty police officer after refusing to leave at closing time.  His attorney claims his client did not resist arrest and that the police hit him in the face for no reason.  Resisting arrest is a misdemeanor in Texas.
