7-12-12 (Washington, DC)  --  A bill co-sponsored by Congressman Tim Walz designed to get veterans back to work sooner is headed to President Obama's desk.  The HIRE at Home Act would allow military training in a comparable field to count toward certification in the private sector.  Walz says for example someone who is trained by the military as a truck driver or nursing assistant would not have to waste time and money in a comparable field to be certified in the private sector.
