BBB Warns Of Utility Bill Scam

7-10-12 (St. Paul, MN)  --  The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota is warning consumers about a new utility bill scam.  The letter, call or text message claims the Obama adminstration will pay up to one-thousand dollars of your gas or electric bill.  The B-B-B's Dan Hendrickson says it's "kind of a clever scam" because there have been programs in recent years such as "Cash for Clunkers" and "Cash for Appliances."  Hendrickson warns signing up for this bogus program or providing personal information could result in identity theft.  Thousands of Minnesotans have received the offer or fell victim to the scam.
