(St.Paul, MN)  --  The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is offering disaster relief grants to veterans whose homes have been damaged by recent flooding and severe storms.  Veterans in Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Dakota, Goodhue, Lake, Rice and St.Louis counties may be eligible for state reimbursement assistance funds of up to 750 dollars.  Contact a county veteran service officer for a disaster relief grant application or more information.  Applications and copies of receipts for expenditures must be dated no earlier than June 13th, 2012.  The application deadline is September 30th.
